I have posted some pretty incredible sand sculptures in the past like the amazing 8-bit NES sand sculpture and Minas Tirith sand sculpture and while those are both incredible, this new Star Wars sand sculpture blows them both right off of the beach. Without a doubt, these are the droids you are looking for!
54-Year-old sculptor Katsuhiko Chaen sculpted this incredible Star Wars sand sculpture to celebrate the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie. The sculpture stands 3.4 meters tall, 7.4 meters long and 4.2 meters wide and uses 160 tons of sand! Wow, thats a lot of sand!
The best part is if you happen to be in Japan, you can check this Star Wars: The Force Awakens sand sculpture out in the coastal town of Tottori between now and December! Or if you have a lot of frequent flier miles built up, going to see this Star Wars sand sculpture might just be something worth using them on!
I love seeing giant sand sculptures and if I was in that part of the world, I would definitely swing by and check it out. It never ceases to amaze me what somebody can do with beach sand. However, I always wonder, how much sand does the artist get in their shoes when they make something like this?
