Today, Facebook announced on its twitter account that a record 750 million photos were uploaded to Facebook during the New Years 2011 weekend.  That is a lot of pictures on a single social networking site!  Anybody with a guess how many pictures showed drunk people?  Anyway, that number is really impressive and I would love to see numbers for the weekend from Flickr and sites like Twitpic for comparison.  I am not a big picture taking person myself so its safe to say that I didn’t upload any of those pictures and none of those pictures include me in them.  Here is the tweet of Facebook’s announcement:
