Earlier this week, I posted a plea calling for everybody to contact their senators and try to persuade them to vote no on S. 3804, the Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act (COICA) aka the internet blacklist bill.  The bill allows for the creation of blacklists to block pretty much any website somebody in the government deems the people should not have access to as well as give the government the power to seize domain names among other things.  Unfortunately, the vote passed unanimously despite the hundreds of thousands of people fighting against the bill.

The Senate Judiciary Committee passed the bill unanimously.  Luckily the fight is not over and this is just the first vote so we still have time to fight this bill in the senate and house of representatives before it comes up for a vote.  If you are curious who the 19 idiot senators are that passed this bit of legislation, here is the list of shame:
