How many times have you wondered:
Did I change the air filter already?
When was the last oil change?
Did I ever test the smoke detector?
Those moments are exactly why a new Android app called Did I Do That? was created — and it’s currently looking for beta testers.
The Problem: Infrequent Tasks Are Easy to Forget
Most productivity apps are great at managing daily to-do lists. But they fall short when it comes to tasks that happen monthly, quarterly, or once a year.
Examples include:
-
Home maintenance (HVAC filters, smoke alarms, water filters)
-
Vehicle upkeep (oil changes, tire rotations)
-
Pet care (vaccinations, grooming schedules)
-
Any task that’s important — but easy to lose track of
These are the tasks that live rent-free in your brain until they become a problem.
The Solution: Did I Do That?
Did I Do That? is designed specifically for these “low-frequency, high-importance” tasks.
With the app, you can:
-
Log when a task was last completed
-
Set reminder intervals that actually make sense
-
Quickly check your history instead of guessing
-
Reduce mental overhead and prevent costly oversights
It’s lightweight, focused, and intentionally avoids the clutter of traditional task managers.
Beta Testers Needed (Android)
Before the app can be released publicly on the Google Play Store, it must complete Google’s required closed testing phase:
-
12+ testers
-
14 days of active use
-
Android devices only (for now)
This is a great opportunity to:
-
Try a productivity app early
-
Help shape its features and usability
-
Provide feedback that directly influences the final release
Interested in Helping?
If you have an Android phone and are willing to help test:
-
e-mail me at pcnerd37@globalgeekenews.com and tell me your gmail address you use for your Google Play account
-
Or reach out to me directly on X/Twitter, Mastodon, BlueSky, or LinkedIn
-
I’ll send you instructions on how to join the closed test
Your help would genuinely mean a lot. This app exists because I needed it — and I’m hoping it can help others too.
Your feedback will help bring Did I Do That? to a wider audience — and maybe save a few forgotten tasks along the way.
