If I ever get around to cleaning all of the crap out of my basement, I’d like to put in a nice home theater setup. Of course as long as we celebrate Christmas at my house, I don’t see that happening since half the basement is filled with Christmas decorations but a guy can dream. Speaking of people with dreams of an amazing home theater setup, one guy spent $120,000 to convert his basement into the Batcave which is made up of mostly a really nice Batcave home theater.
Chris Weir is the Batman fanatic in the video below that spent 2 years and $120k building a Batcave in the basement. While I am definitely impressed with the 120″ screen, nice seats, cave walls crafted out of foam and the Dark Knight batsuit, I think my favorite part of this setup is the entrance.
Being a huge fan of the Batman series from the 60s, the idea of recreating the entrance to the batcave with a bookshelf that opens after you push a button under Shakespear’s head is awesome.
Something tells me that if this guy ever decides to sell this house, he is going to have no trouble at all selling it to some rich Batman fan. Maybe one day I will be able to afford to do something this cool at my house. Until then, I can dream.
