I’ve seen some pretty cool cabinets showing off a gamer’s beloved console collection, but this might be one of the most creative I’ve ever seen.  One Nintendo fan took a barrel, threw the Donkey Kong DK logo on top and made it into a Nintendo 64 storage cabinet.  And it is awesome!

I have to admit, the only time I’ve ever spent with any DK game outside of the classic arcade version and Donkey Kong Jr has been playing the demo booth setups that big box stores like Sears and Toys ‘R Us used to have as a way to advertise their video games.  And I’m pretty sure those were just the SNES games.  Yes, I’m that old.  So I never really got into the franchise like many have.  But its cool to see fans of the DK games make something awesome like this DK Nintendo 64 storage cabinet barrel.

This awesome creation apparently was the weekend project of a Kevin Feehan in a Nintendo 64 Facebook group that I am a member of.  This awesome and crafty gamer appears to have taken an old barrel, made a DK logo to go on the outside and then shoved a N64, games and controllers inside.  I think it is safe to say this might just be the coolest way to store an N64 that I’ve ever seen, especially for the Donkey Kong fans out there!

In the past, I have shared a picture of The Ultimate Video Game Console Entertainment System which houses a ton of old gaming console systems and I was envious of it, but I think this DK barrel Nintendo 64 storage cabinet might just be my new favorite way to house a console.  Great job Kevin!
