Kids these days are lucky with all of the amazing birthday cakes they get.  When I was a kid, you would just get a cake that said “Happy Birthday” and whatever your name is.  It was nothing fancy but at least it tasted good.  However, apparently times have changed for the better from the looks of this Super Mario Bros birthday cake that one very lucky 5 year old got.

When you get to be as old as I am, birthdays are just another day and they aren’t the big deal they used to be as a kid.  There are times I kind of miss that birthday magic from those childhood days.  And its when I see amazing birthday cakes like this Super Mario Bros birthday cake that I miss them the most!

I have posted a ton of other Mario themed cakes in the past like the amazing Mario World 10th birthday cake (just search for Mario cakes on the right to find them), but I feel like this might be the best looking Super Mario Bros birthday cake that I have posted.  It really is stunning and incredibly detailed!

By now, you all know that I have a hatred for fondant because it tastes like crap compared to real frosting but I can’t argue with how amazing it looks with cakes like this one.  And speaking of how amazing this cake looks, sadly I have no idea who the 5 year old was that got this or who the incredible baker was that made this fantastic cake.  So if you happen to know who they are, please let me know in the comments below so they can get the props they deserve!
