Thwomp Can Crusher

Thwomp Can Crusher For Mario Fans That Recycle

I’ve crushed and recycled many thousands of pop cans in my day.  That seems a bit odd considering I don’t drink any sort of carbonated beverages (pop, energy drinks, etc.) but that was part of my job for many years was crushing cans to send them to the recyclers.  However my can crusher was my foot rather than an actual can crusher.  I found it to be faster and more efficient to line up a whole row of cans and just start stomping on them than to use a normal can crusher.  However, if we had a can crusher like this Thwomp can crusher, I would have definitely preferred to use it!

Like most things that tend to be floating around online, this image had no attribution so I have no idea who made this awesome Thwomp can crusher but they are clearly a very cool person!  From the looks of the picture, I would say they used a 3D printer to create a thwomp and painted it up to look like one before attaching it to a can crusher.  I’m not sure if there are files for doing your own Thwomp 3D printing floating around online but I’d assume there probably is so if you wanted to make your own Thwomp can crusher and have access to a 3D printer, I would say this is a very doable DIY project.

Seeing stuff like this always makes me tempted to buy a 3D printer but so far I have resisted the temptation.  I’m thinking this might be the year to change that though so maybe I will have a thwomp can crusher in the future!  This really seems like the perfect pairing.  And I’m all for anything that gets more people to recycle!

Have you created any cool 3D printings?  Let me know about them in the comments below!  And if you happen to know who made this awesome Thwomp can crusher, let me know in the comments below so they get credit for their creation!
