If there was one game that I wish I had more time to play, it would be Age of Empires II. It has been one of my favorite games since it came out back in the 90s and I still watch hours of gameplay on Twitch every week even though I don’t often have the time to dedicate to a game. But apparently I’m not the only one that is still obsessed with the game all these years later because someone made (or had it made for them) this awesome Age of Empires II cake!
Browsing social media like I tend to do when I am bored with a few minutes to kill, I came across this epic Age of Empires II cake. Sadly, the post didn’t mention who made it or what the occasion was for, but I would say that whoever made it did a pretty great job! I especially like the gold pile made out of sprinkles. And the T90 farms are great too!
I’m curious if this cake was as tasty as it looks? Its nice to see a gaming cake doesn’t use that disgusting fondant stuff for a change. In case nobody has picked up on it from previous posts, I am firmly in the camp that fondant is disgusting, no matter how good it makes a cake look. Fondant on cakes is like pineapple on pizza. Just…no. And if you think pineapple belongs on pizza, all I have to say to you is… Wololo!
Enough ranting about fondant and back to how awesome this AoE cake is! I wonder how long this cake took to frost because I would imagine that doing the farms was rather tedious (but very worth it!).

If you happen to know who made this epic Age of Empires II cake, please let me know in the comments below because they clearly deserve credit for it!
And if this isn’t enough delicious RTS goodness for you, I highly recommend checking out the Starcraft Protoss cake I posted about years ago. It even lights up!
Share this with any Age of Empires fans you know! And if you guys would like to start a regular GGN AoE night, let me know in the comments below! I would love to do a community night and stream it on Twitch if there is interest.
