If you have been around here for a while, you know that I am obsessed with giant, geeky LEGO builds. So of course as soon as I saw this Halo Frigate built from 25,000 LEGO bricks, I knew I had to share it with all of you! I think this might be the first Halo themed LEGO build I’ve ever seen (I could be wrong as my memory sucks though)
This might be one of the most impressive LEGO builds I have posted. I’m pretty sure I have posted bigger in terms of number of pieces, but in terms of the level of detail, this definitely ranks near the top! And it should with as much effort that went into this impressive Halo Frigate built from 25,000 LEGO bricks.
Steve Witt spent the last 5 years building this massive LEGO Halo Frigate that measures over 7 feet long! That is a lot of time to put into a single build! And I’d say all of the effort paid of because it is pretty epic.
For those curious just how much a 7+ ft LEGO Halo Frigate weights, it comes in at 112lbs or 51kgs!
If you want to find out more details about this build of the LEGO UNSC Katara Frigate as well as see a ton of more pictures of this crazy build, you can find an interview with Steve over on The Brothers Brick. Apparently its not quite done yet because he mentions in the interview he is working on getting a bunch of lights into the build to make it look ever more amazing. I can’t wait to see the final product!
Share this with any Halo lovers and LEGO enthusiasts you know! After you do that, come join our amazing community of fellow geeks on the Global Geek News Facebook page! We are always happy to welcome new people to the community!
