Sometimes I wonder if I spend a little too much time on Twitter and then other times I find something amazing and suddenly all of that time seems worth it. This was one of those times because the other day I was killing time on Twitter and spotted this amazing Link’s Awakening Switch cake as it scrolled across my feed. This Nintendo Switch cake featuring Link’s Awakening is so spectacular that I just had to share it with you guys!
I might not have a Nintendo Switch yet mainly because I’m waiting for Nintendo to fix the joycon drift issue (which apparently is still a problem in the new Switch Lite from a video I saw posted to reddit over the weekend) however when I do get one, the first game I plan on getting with it is Link’s Awakening because I am a huge Zelda fan. I’ve been watching people play it on Twitch and it looks beautiful! Anyway…
This incredible Link’s Awakening Switch cake was created by YouTuber Sugar High Score. In the video below you can see everything she did to make the cake and you can follow her steps to make your own if you want! I really love it when people not only make something really cool and geeky like this Legend of Zelda inspired Link’s Awakening Switch cake but also walk you through all the steps they did to create it so you can make your own if you want. Its always nice to share the secrets rather than keep them to yourself! I just subscribed to her channel because not only would I like to make something like this sometime but I have a feeling I will be featuring more of her work on here in the future!
This cake reminds me a lot of the Legend of Zelda Wind Waker cake I posted a half dozen years ago as well as the Legend of Zelda Nintendo 64 cake I posted about 7 years ago.
If you have made any gaming cakes like this Nintendo Switch cake featuring Link’s Awakening, feel free to share pictures and video in the comments below because I would love to see it and perhaps feature it here on GGN!
Make sure you share this with any gamers you know and go Like Global Geek News on Facebook where I share a ton more stuff than I do here on the website.
Enjoy the video and happy baking!
