Back in the Nintendo 64 days (and even a little bit on my Nintendo 3DS), I spent countless hours working to collect all of the stars in Super Mario 64. Some of them were a lot harder to get than others but sometimes I like a good challenge. Well, I can’t say that Bob-omb Battlefield, the first level was that difficult however I suspect recreating the classic level with LEGO wasn’t exactly simple. This might not be the biggest LEGO build I have ever posted about, but I think it might be one of my favorites.
This Super Mario 64 recreation of the Bob-omb Battlefield with LEGO was built by LEGO builder Matt De Lanoy. I’m not sure of any of the interesting details of this build like how long it took him or how many LEGO bricks he used but judging by the attention to detail on this amazing build, I would think he spent quite a bit of time one it. This makes me wish I still had all of my LEGOs as a kid so that I could build something like this but I guess I will have to settle for playing some Super Mario 64 this weekend.
