I’ve seen the Pirates of the Caribbean movies inspire some pretty great cosplay and imitators (there were a couple of really impressive ones at our state fair last year), but this is the first time I have ever seen a cake that was inspired by the movie.

This awesome cake depicting Davy Jones forcing Elizabeth Swann to walk the plank off of The Black Pearl with Captain Jack Sparrow watching on was created by Charm City Cakes.  The level of detail on not only the characters like Davy Jones but the ship itself is mind blowing!  I can’t even imagine the amount of time involved in getting the coloring of the ship to loo like that, much less put all of those rips in the sails.  Very impressive!
