Despite the tiny 1.44MB of storage on the floppy drives of yesteryear, I have to admit that I kind of miss those big things. I miss the sound of a noisy floppy drive and being able to snap that little metal door back and forth when I was bored. However, if there is one thing I don’t miss, its the number of them that you had to have for things like Windows 95. Speaking of large numbers of floppy drives, this picture gives your a good idea of just how far we have come with making storage smaller since 1995. Here is a picture of 8GB worth of floppy disks (looks like less to me) and one tiny 8GB Micro-SD card today. Wow.
