I have long thought that fire hydrants are too boring.  They always look identical and nobody has ever taken the time to get creative with them…until now!  I’ve always thought that fire hydrants would be a good place for some advertising but after seeing the picture below, I think they would work even better as a medium for geek art.  I don’t know where this picture was taken but apparently some Super Mario Bros fan decided to make their neighborhood fire hydrant a little geekier by painting it to look like Mario.  Hopefully more people do this with their local fire hydrant, with their town’s permission of course.
