Whether groups like the RIAA and MPAA want to admit it, there was piracy before the internet became part of everybody’s life.  I remember when I was in grade school, before I even knew what the internet was, I was recording songs of the radio since I didn’t have the money to go buy a whole cassette tape at the time (yes, I am that old).  I also recorded a lot of TV shows with my VCR that got shared with friends and family.  Well, eventually the internet came along and changed all of that.  But, for those interested in taking a stroll down memory lane or showing their kids just how tough we had it back in the day, the folks over at MADATOMS made the awesome image / infographic below about piracy before the internet.  You may need to click it to enlarge it so it can be read.
