On Wednesday’s Astronomy Picture of the Day feature on the NASA website, they posted this amazing picture (below) that was taken by David Kaplan.  The photo was taken above the village of Trübbach, Switzerland and it shows the moon and Venus in the upper right and the mountain Mittlerspitz in the middle.  Although it looks really cold with all of the snow and fog over the city, the picture is one of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen.  You can find the original APOD post here which has more information about the picture.  Click to enlarge.
