Archives For Star Trek

Much to the dislike of my bathroom scale, I have been eating perhaps more than my fair share of cookies lately.  I just can’t seem to help myself so I just grab a handful of them whenever I see somebody have them sitting out.  However, its probably a good thing that nobody has had cookies as awesome as these Star Trek and Doctor Who cookies otherwise I would probably take all of them.

These incredible looking Doctor Who and Star Trek cookies were created by Mallory Mae from Butterwinks.  If you are interested in finding out how she made this cookies and how you can make your own, she has an online course called Piping Cookies That Pop on Craftsy.

These cookies are so well done, I honestly don’t think I can pick a favorite!  The Kirk, Spock and Uhura cookies have an adorable cartoony look to them while the Doctor Who cookies are just plain awesome, especially the Dalek and TARDIS.  Which cookie is your favorite?

I really hate the idea of having to get rid of my Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess wallet because I really like it, but it is falling apart and the ink for the Twilight Princess logo is almost totally faded away.  So, I am in search of a new wallet and while looking around for a new wallet, I came across this cool Klingon wallet!

The awesome nerds over at SuperHeroStuff.com are selling this sweet Star Trek Klingon chain wallet for just $19.99!  The wallet is a tri-fold wallet which snaps shut and is made of a combination of polyurethane and polyester.

Whether you are looking for a wallet yourself or know somebody who likes Klingons and could use a wallet for Christmas, you might want to think about picking this one up!

I’m not sure if this is going to be the wallet I get but it is definitely on the short list since I love the Klingons and only have an interest in tri-fold wallets.  I probably won’t be buying a new one until after new years so if you know of a geeky wallet I should check out (I would think you guys know what sort of geeky tastes I have by now), please feel free to let me know in the comments below!

Given the corrupt, lying nature of our politicians and political system these days, not to mention how easily hackable the electronic voting machines have been proven to be, I really don’t put much stock in the election process these days.  I still vote but I view it as a largely meaningless exercise.  That said, when I look for somebody to vote for, I look for the candidate that seems to the the logical choice for the job and has the most logical ideas about how to improve things (I’m not one of those mindless drones that just votes for a single party although I generally lean Libertarian).  I suppose you could say that while I think my vote is pointless, I still aspire to Spock the vote!

Speaking of voting logically, the awesome folks over at SuperHeroStuff are have this cool Star Trek Spock the Vote t-shirt on sale for just $9 right now!  I’m not sure how long the sale will last so you might as well jump on this deal now, especially since it is election season anyway!

The #1 I hate about my bedroom is the lack of outlets for plugging stuff in.  Having only one outlet means I have a number of power strips daisy chained just to run all of my computers, game consoles, tv, and a ton of other gadgets and as much as I would like to have a mini fridge in my bedroom, I don’t want to push my luck and increase the risk of burning my house down any more than than I already have.  However, if I ever get another outlet put in or move somewhere that I have the ability to plug more stuff in, this Borg mini fridge is exactly what I will get!

The Star Trek loving nerds over at ThinkGeek are selling this amazing Borg Cube mini fridge for $149.99.  This Collective approved fridge can hold up to 9 pop cans with a little bit of room to spare and lights up green just like a real Borg Cube!  If you are a Star Trek fan who hates having to walk all the way to the kitchen to get something to drink while you are Netflixing on Star Trek: Voyager, this is the perfect mini fridge for you!  And one other interesting note, not only can this keep food cold but it can also keep it warm up to 149°F!

Now, if only somebody could invent a transporter to beam the pee out of you, you would never have to leave your bedroom ever again!

While I can’t say I understand what all the fuss is about IKEA having never been to one (I was living in Utah when they got theirs but it was so crazy when it was brand new that I wasn’t going anywhere near that place), I have heard enough about it to know you have to assemble everything yourself which is the idea behind this awesome build your own Borg Collective t-shirt design!  I’ve always thought it would be cool to have my own Collective but my hardware building skills just aren’t good enough, much less trying to fuse the hardware with flesh.  Maybe I will get that good some day!

If you have sense of humor when it comes to Star Trek stuff like I do, than this t-shirt is perfect for you!  The amazing folks over at TShirtbordello are selling this Build A Borg t-shirt for just $14.99!  This shirt is certain to make all of your Borg loving friends laugh, especially if they are also IKEA nuts.

Just remember, while wearing this shirt, your standard greeting must be “We Are the Borg. You Will be Assimilated. Resistance is Futile.”
