Back in 1983 (4 years before I was born), a 15 year old by the name of Craig Smith decided to fix his dad’s broken soldering gun (after he broke it) with parts from a toy that resembled Han Solo’s Blaster from Star Wars.  Apparently it still works and it might be the only soldering…
