The other day, I noticed that I am in bad need of at least a new drivers side floor mat for my car because apparently the heel of my foot managed to work a rather large whole through the middle of my current mat.  Well, rather than going and paying whatever ungodly amount the dealership wants for a new one, I think I will do something a little geekier and go with one of these sweet Star Wars automotive floor mats!

The awesome folks over at ThinkGeek are selling these cool Stormtrooper and Darth Vader automotive floor mats for $14.99-39.99 depending on whether you get a front pair ($40) or a single back back/utility floor mat ($15).  Unfortunately, you can’t mix and match the front pair unless you want to buy both sets which might not be too bad if you have two vehicles but it is a bit frustrating if you only have one.  Either way, if you are Star Wars fan, I’d call this a must have item for your vehicle!

I will probably go with the Darth Vader floor mats.  Let me know in the comments below which one you are going to order!

First of all, my apologies for not posting this yesterday when it was May 4th, but I didn’t see this until it was too late.  However, since it is Revenge of the 5th, I’m still going to post this video.  I would have posted it no matter what day because it is simply hilarious but at least it works out that it is at least day two of Star Wars Day.

This video features Tim Russ, best known as Lt. Commander Tuvok on Star Trek: Voyager explaining Star Wars Day.  To say that he gets it wrong would be a huge understatement.  I won’t spoil anything but I will say that this video is so funny, it might not be a bad idea to have an extra pair of pants around because you might just pee them.  Better yet, just watch it on the toilet or in the shower so cleaning up the mess will be easier.  That would be the logical thing to do!

Stormtrooper May 4th

Star Wars Day is my favorite unofficial holiday right next to Black Friday.  However, since I am working today, I can’t say I really get to celebrate it the proper way with a Star Wars marathon.  However, I am still sporting my favorite Star Wars / Legend of Zelda crossover t-shirt which features Link dressed as Luke Skywalker and R2-D2 as Navi and says “The (Triforce symbol) is strong with this one.

How are you celebrating Star Wars day?  A movie marathon?  A Star Wars gaming binge?  Just wearing a t-shirt like me?  Let me know in the comments below!  I would love to hear how you plan to celebrate today!

In case you weren’t already excited enough for the new Star Wars movie, a second teaser trailer has been released!  There isn’t much here on plot details but still enough that you may need a change of pants by the time you are done watching it.

Check out the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments!

After wearing the same God of War hat for nearly two years (same design, 3 different hats), I’ve decided that its time to make a change.  However, I still want to stick with the whole warrior idea so when I found this really cool Klingon hat, I knew it had to be my next hat.  I’ve always wanted a Star Trek hat but I’ve never found a design I really like until now.

The amazing folks over at ThinkGeek are selling this sweet Klingon hat for $24.99!  As for the size, it is adjustable with a back hook-and-loop strap.  While I will admit that is more than I typically care to spend for a hat, when combined with a little something else, they have a nice sale going on right now that really helps with the price.  If you use the code ‘BIGRED’ at checkout through Wednesday (4/15/2015), you can save 20% off an order of $50+, 25% off an order of $100+ or 30% off an order of $150+!  If you are looking to pick up some geeky gear at a nice discount, now is the time to do it!

Its been a while since I have posted any daily t-shirt sales since I have tried to cut back on buying them myself but when today’s shirts at TeeFury hit my inbox this morning, I knew that I not only had to buy both of them but I had to post about them too!

The incredible folks over at TeeFury are selling these two amazing Doctor Who shirts for just $11 each today only!  One shirt is called Vincent Van Who (designed by John Sumrow) and it features a Van Gogh style painting with him holding a Sonic Screwdriver and the TARDIS while incorporating some elements of his most famous paintings (as a Van Gogh fan, this pleases me greatly).  The other shirt is called Anywhere (designed by upsidedownowl) and prominently features the TARDIS.  I have a Battlestar Galactica Viper and Star Wars X-Wing shirt just like it so obviously I must have this shirt too.

If you are a Doctor Who fan, these are obviously two must-have shirts!  I know I will be ordering both!
