I remember always wanting a Nintendo Game Boy Watch Boy back when it was released in 1992.  It seemed like the perfect thing to have since I have the strange hobby of collecting Game Boys.  Well, its pretty rare to see one anymore so when I saw that one has gone up for auction, I became rather excited.  Unfortunately, it looks like it is going to go for a lot more than I want to spend.

Ebay seller ssjgoku444 is selling this old Nintendo Watch Boy which is supposedly in great condition other than a couple minor scratches on the screen.  As of the time of this writing, there is still over 3 days left to go and it is already at $255 with 76 bids.  That is already way more than I would ever pay for a watch but it is taking every bit of self control I have not to bid on this!

My favorite geeky Japanese sushi chef blogger Okitsugu Kado is at it again and this time he has created a Pikachu out of a sweet potato!

To give the lovable Pokemon a little color, the tips of Pikachu’s ears are made of wrapped up “Nori”.  I never cease to be amased at what Oki can create with some vegetables and his awesome sushi skills.  If you search sushi in the search bar on the right, you should be able to see a bunch of his other works of food art that I have posted which is largely a bunch of Star Wars themed creations.

A couple of days ago, a new t-shirt that I had ordered showed up that was a mash-up between Donkey Kong and Star Wars.  Had I known that somebody had made a Donkey Kong and Doctor Who mash-up shirt, I probably would have gotten it instead since I am more of a Doctor Who fan than a Star Wars fan. Although the shirt I got is still awesome.

Well, for those out there that enjoy both Doctor Who and Donkey Kong, Redbubble is selling this awesome Doctor Who and Donkey Kong mash-up t-shirt for $24.54.  The best part is that since it is Redbubble selling this shirt, you get to choose the background color although I think the default black looks great.

Zelda Medley on Banjo and Musical Saw by Frontier Ruckus

Zelda Medley on Banjo and Musical Saw by Frontier Ruckus

As amazing as the gameplay is for the Legend of Zelda games, when I think about the Legend of Zelda, the first thing that comes to mind is the amazing music that is associated with various parts of the games.  That music is why the seeing the Legend of Zelda symphony a month or so ago was one of the highlights of my life.

Anyway, a couple of other Zelda music admirers known as Frontier Ruckus decided to put their own musical talents to work to play a medley of Zelda songs on the banjo and musical saw.  The video below is quite impressive!

Normally, I don’t like to post items from Etsy that have already sold since I like for the Global Geek News readers to be able to buy them, but this time I am going to make an exception.

This awesome Legend of Zelda Hylian shield dress was sold on Etsy yesterday.  This awesome strapless dress features the Hylian shield in the middle of a sea of Triforces.  This is definitely the coolest Legend of Zelda themed dress I have ever seen!  If I notice it go on sale again, I will make sure to pass it along because one of my awesome readers deserves to buy this dress!

One of the most enjoyable and frustrating things to play with as a kid was dominoes.  It was an amazing feeling to see something that you have made go off perfectly but completely heartbreaking when things went off prematurely.  It is too bad that they aren’t popular like they once were because I think today’s kids would love them.

Well, at least some people still enjoy playing with dominoes enough to make this 30,000 domino tribute to Nintendo.  Apparently this was created by 15 year old referring to himself as a “professional domino-ist” and I wouldn’t disagree with that title after seeing this.  This is very impressive!
