I think pretty much all of the awesome fingernail art that I have posted (most recently was the awesome 60’s Batman fingernail art) has been at least somewhat practical in that you can still use your fingers to do stuff despite them being painted up in some awesome fashion.  Well, I can’t say that about this awesome Tetris fingernail art!  It looks cool but I can’t even imagine it being possible to do much of anything with crazy shaped nails like this!

DeviantART user KayleighOC seems to have an absolute fingernail art obsession based on the look of these Tetris fingernails as well as all of the other crazy fingernail art on her account ranging from Kermit the Frog to Edward Scissorhands (quite impressive!).  If you are a fan of amazing and geeky fingernail art, she is definitely the person to follow!

One of my favorite video games to rent when I was a kid was Earthworm Jim.  There was just something awesome about that game although sadly, you don’t hear much about it these days even though it has received an HD remake for both Xbox Live Arcade and the Playstation Network.

Well, Earthworm Jim may just be childhood memory for many, but for others it is an excellent source for some cosplay ideas!  In this case, cosplayer TenshinoSekai is sporting some pretty great Princess Whatshername cosplay in this picture (taken by rocha86).  Its not every often you see any Earthworm Jim inspired cosplay so I knew I had to post this!

Lately, I have been reliving my childhood memories of SNES games thanks to the wonderful world of console emulation.  Of course I could unpack my real SNES and play it the way it was meant to be played, but I am lazy and really don’t have the room right now.

Anyway, apparently I am not the only one longing for the days of 16-bit gaming because YouTube user thepixelkingdom and a few collaborators made this awesome video that takes classic SNES games like Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Adventures, Mario Kart and others, and brings puts them in real world backgrounds.  Some are more impressive than others, like Mario Kart, but the entire 1 minute video is pretty awesome!

I’ve been wearing the same Gears of War dog tags around my neck since I got them in 2006 and I’ve been thinking lately that it is time for a change.  I have some Call of Duty: Black Ops dog tags I could wear but I just don’t like them that much (its actually a plastic dog tag with a 2GB USB drive inside and the chain is too small for my liking).  Well, I think I have found my new piece of gamer jewelry to hang from my neck, this awesome Diablo 3 amulet pendant!

Etsy seller BestGamersShop is selling this awesome Diablo 3 amulet pendant for $14.50 + shipping.  They sell all kinds of other awesome gaming and internet meme pendants but considering everybody is obsessed with Diablo 3 right now, I figured you guys would be most interested in this one.  I plan on ordering one today myself!

As much as I would love to combine the two, I learned a long time ago that pizza and video games don’t mix.  As great as both can be together, its just not worth getting getting the controller all greasy and messy.  However, making pizza in the shape of something from a video game like this Super Mario Bros magic mushroom pizza is completely acceptable (and absolutely delicious)!

DeviantART user FleshCreature is the creator of this delicious looking Super Mario Bros magic mushroom pizza and apparently it tasted as good as it looks!  However, I would prefer more sauce on it but I like my pizza to have lots of sauce, even if my stomach doesn’t agree.  I’d still eat it though!

Of all of the lamps that I have posted ranging from the Legend of Zelda Triforce lamp to the Super Mario Bros question block lamp, this Half Life Barnacle ceiling lamp is by far the most disgusting.

For those that are fans of the Half Life games like myself, you will be very familiar with these annoying barnacles that like to suck you up from the ground and eat you.  Well, a guy buy the name of Daniel Ritthanondh decided to take the disgusting barnacle from Half Life and turn it into a ceiling lamp.  As disgusting as this ceiling lamp looks, it is also one of the coolest and most unique lamps I have ever seen!  Great job Daniel!
