Archives For Cool pictures

The other day, I noticed that I am in bad need of at least a new drivers side floor mat for my car because apparently the heel of my foot managed to work a rather large whole through the middle of my current mat.  Well, rather than going and paying whatever ungodly amount the dealership wants for a new one, I think I will do something a little geekier and go with one of these sweet Star Wars automotive floor mats!

The awesome folks over at ThinkGeek are selling these cool Stormtrooper and Darth Vader automotive floor mats for $14.99-39.99 depending on whether you get a front pair ($40) or a single back back/utility floor mat ($15).  Unfortunately, you can’t mix and match the front pair unless you want to buy both sets which might not be too bad if you have two vehicles but it is a bit frustrating if you only have one.  Either way, if you are Star Wars fan, I’d call this a must have item for your vehicle!

I will probably go with the Darth Vader floor mats.  Let me know in the comments below which one you are going to order!

Elder Scrolls Man Cave

Elder Scrolls Man Cave

Since I have an unfinished basement, I have long thought that when the day comes that I have some extra money, I’d like to do something cool and geeky with it like perhaps build myself an old school arcade.  However, if I do something like that, I don’t think I have the skills to do something near as impressive as this guy did with his basement.  This basement looks like something straight out of the Elder Scrolls universe!

Tyler Kirkham, a DC comics artist spent around $50,000 to build this incredible Elder Scrolls man cave that comes complete with weapons, armor, a sparring area, a waterfall and even a secret passageway!  Although I have played some Skyrim, I can’t say I am a big enough Elder Scrolls fan to consider doing this to my basement but I have to admit, this is pretty incredible!

Have you given any part of your home a geeky remodel?  If so, let me know about it in the comments below!

In the past, I have posted a ton of Portal cakes (just search for Portal cakes on the right to find them all) including a wedding cake that looks like a Companion Cube with Atlas and P-Body toppers.  However, the one I found today which you can see below blows them all away or I suppose you could say takes the cake!

This Portal themed wedding cake which is actually three cakes that look like Companion Cubes that features various characters from the game including P-Body, Atlas and GLaDOS was created by Black Cherry Cake Company.

This is definitely one of the the cooler wedding cakes I have seen and the best part is that this cake isn’t a lie!

Nintendo 64 Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time console modWhen it comes to console gaming, I think the Nintendo 64 will always be my favorite console.  Loose joystick issues aside, it had a lot of incredible games and I will take a game cartridge over an easy to scratch disk any day!  Well, it looks like I’m not the only one with a fondness for the N64 but this person has some insane console modding skills that I don’t possess!

This incredible custom Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Nintendo 64 case mod was created by Belgian artist Vadu Amka.  The console has an incredibly detailed stone and rock look with even the controller getting a really nice rock look to it.  The Hylian Shield and gems are also a really nice touch to complete the look!

I wish I had the skills to make something that looks this good or at least the money to buy a N64 that looks this cool!

For whatever reason, I have this somewhat strange habit of buying really cool and very geeky posters with the intention of putting them up on my bedroom walls yet in all of these years, not a single one of them has made it on my walls yet.  I suppose part of that is because some of them need framed and I never seem to get by a place that does framing but in the end I guess I am simply too lazy.  However, I’m pretty sure that my laziness would go out the window if I had this incredible laser-etched wooden Super Mario World map to hang on my wall!  Well, maybe.

This spectacular laser-etched wooden map of Super Mario World’s Dinosaur Land was created by Alex Greindling and it can be yours for just $150!  The map is etched on a hand selected piece of maple and measures 18-1/2″ wide by 14″ tall.

As amazing as this is, I really don’t need to spend $150 on a decoration for my wall but this is so tempting I might just have to.

I can’t say any of my cats have ever been too picky about having their own bed.  Assuming they don’t have a box to lay in, they usually prefer a human bed or maybe just a blanket on the couch.  A few years ago I tried an actual cat bed and that worked for maybe a week or two before it was ignored.  However, the cat bed I tried looked like it came out of a strippers bedroom so maybe it was just too ugly for my cat.  If I was ever to try a real cat bed again, I would want to try something like this amazing Super Mario Bros. Chain Chomp cat bed.

Etsy seller CatastrophiCreations recently sold this sweet Super Mario Bros. Chain Chomp cat bed for $1,100.  Unfortunately, it has already sold and they don’t intend to make any more.  That makes me wonder, who has $1,100 to spend on a cat bed?!  I wouldn’t even spend that much on my own bed much less a bed for my cat!

Normally I wouldn’t post about something that was sold out with no hope of any more being made but I thought this was just too cool to not post about.
