Age of Empires 2 Opening Cut-Scene Recreated in LEGO

Since they 90s, I have always been a huge fan of real time strategy (RTS) games.  Much of my childhood was spent playing countless hours of Command and Conquer and Age of Empires.  And even to this day I still play both franchises regularly and watch a lot of AoE on Twitch.  Speaking of Age of Empires, this incredible stop motion video shows the Age of Empires 2 opening cut-scene recreated in LEGO!

While I have to admit I am probably most partial to Age of Empires Online which it comes to AoE games, I think most people would probably say that Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings was probably their favorite Age of Empires game which is why it still has a large and highly competitive community even today with individual streams on Twitch easily getting thousands of viewers at any given time.

Well, when you still have fans that crazy about a game 20 years after it was released, you know you have to expect some of them to do something pretty amazing.

In the past I have posted many of the Age of Empires 2 buildings made out of LEGO but this video takes things to the next level and recreates the entire opening cut-scene for Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings with LEGO.

This incredible video was created by WebCamelot Studios.  I can’t even imagine the amount of time it took for them to create something this incredible.  The amount of detail is amazing!  This makes me want to go and play some Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings HD Edition right now.  Anybody care to join me for a game?  I’d love to play some of the GGN readers!  Drop your game name in the comments and perhaps we can make it happen!

Make sure you share this with any Age of Empires fans you know!  Also, like Global Geek News on Facebook too!  Enjoy the video!
