For as much as I love music from many games ranging from Super Mario World to Command & Conquer, I think the gold standard when it comes to video game music is the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I often find myself humming the music from it to myself throughout the day. Well, speaking of its amazing music, I thought you guys would appreciate this amazing video of the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’s Gerudo Valley theme played on the Marimbaphone.
Ok, so I don’t think I’ve ever actually heard of a Marimbaphone before but it looks like a big, slightly more complex xylophone. Anyway, it seems like a really cool instrument and these three guys play the Gerudo Valley theme on the Marimbaphone quite well! This video was created by YouTube user Mart0zz and after hearing this and checking out a couple of their other uploads on YouTube, you might want to click the video through to YouTube and check out not only their other videos but they also have an album for sale they they have linked in the video description. If you enjoy stuff like this, it is important to support the people that make it however you can!
Now if the video below doesn’t make you want to go play some Ocarina of Time, I don’t know what will! As soon as I finish the Pokemon league in Pokemon X, I plan on firing up Ocarina of Time on my 3DS myself! As fun as the game is, you simply can’t beat the music!
