As much as I enjoy a good puzzle, I have never played with a Rubik’s Cube before. I know that seems kind of odd and perhaps even shocking to some geeks but it is true. Its not that I wouldn’t mind giving one a shot, I am just never around one. However, if I had a 3D printer, I would definitely make my own TARDIS Rubik’s Cube like the one below!
If you enjoy solving Rubik’s Cubes and had a love for Doctor Who, I think I have found the perfect way to combine the two!
Shapeways member lcuthbert is selling this 3D printed TARDIS Rubik’s Cube pattern for $51.26. To make yourself one, you will not only need a 3D printer (which is fraking expensive), but you will also need a 2x2x4 Rubik’s Cube because apparently you just print off the TARDIS pieces and glue them onto the cube. Also, you will have to print off your own decals for the windows, signs and beacon as they aren’t included.
If you are a Doctor Who fan that is lucky enough to have a 3D printer and decide to try this out, let me know how it turns out!
