I stopped using an alarm clock years ago since my phone has that functionality built in and it works just as well as an alarm clock (except it can’t wake me up to FM radio like my old clock radio used to).  However, this animated Tetris alarm clock could easily convince me to go back to a dedicated alarm clock.

The awesome folks over at ThinkGeek are selling this cool animated Tetris alarm clock for $29.99.  Not only do the numbers show up as Tetris blocks falling into place, but the buttons on the clock are in the shape of Tetris blocks and the alarm music that wakes you up is the classic Tetris music!  The display is also backlit and it runs on 2 AA batteries (which scares me as I prefer something that plugs in so you don’t have to worry about the batteries dying when you really need the clock to wake you up although a battery backup would be ideal).
