I may not currently be a software engineer but I have spent my fair share of time writing code and if there is one thing that seems inevitable it is that no matter how well I think out my design ahead of time and try to start off using the best of coding practices, things always seem to end up a mess by the time I am done and require a significant amount of refactoring.  Luckily, I am not the only code monkey that seems to have this problem if this kind of thing is wide spread enough to make a humorous comic about it.
