I haven’t made it a secret that I hate motion controlled gaming. As a PC gamer, I value two things, precision and response time. Neither of those is something that motion controlled gaming can offer. That is why I started to get excited when I saw Nintendo’s latest console, the Wii U or at least I did until I saw that you could still use the Wiimote with it. At least they aren’t depending on motion controlled gaming anymore which is a step in the right direction. Like the cartoon below points out, I find it rather funny that Nintendo has pretty much done a 180 on how they approach consoles and it has kind of left Microsoft and Sony out in the cold after all of the effort and money they have spent to play follow the leader with motion controlled gaming.
