Video game price model evolution [pic]

I’ve been playing video games for nearly 22 years and I can honestly say, I long for the days when complete games shipped and if you wanted something extra for the game, you would have to wait 6 months for an expansion pack to come out.  Sadly, thanks to the greedy video game giants like EA (I single them out because they represent everything bad about the gaming industry) have moved to a model you ship a game that is only about 80% done yet charge full price for it and then make gamers pay extra for the rest of the game via DLC that is usually available at launch of very shortly after.  The picture below explains what I mean.  What do you think about this business model?  Let us know in the comments!
