Have you ever been worried about the data that you have burned to CDs (assuming you still use the old technology)?  Of course there are various shredders and stuff you can buy to destroy the CD after it has fulfilled its purpose but what is the fun in that?  Now, we have an even more amazing way to remove the data from the disks, electricity!

I can’t think of a better way to get rid of data than with some high voltage!  The amazing video below shows some CDs (I would assume this would also work for DVDs and Blu-ray disks) spinning thanks to a tiny motor hooked up to a 9 volt battery while a couple of coils zap the data right off the drive with some beautiful electricity arcs!  Bottom line is that this is awesome and worth the 53 seconds of your time to watch!  Tell us how cool you think this is in the comments!
