PSP gets $40 price drop to $130, new Greatest Hits

I’ve been a fan of the Sony PSP since it launched back in 2005.  I’ve spent countless hours enjoying and hacking my handheld with things like new faceplates and even dual booting with custom firmware.  For those that want to get in on the PSP action before the PSP 2 (currently going by the codename NGP) comes out (which I highly recommend doing as there are some excellent games on the platform such as the two God of War games), Sony has just dropped the price by $40 from $170 to $130 ($169.99 to $129.99 if you want to be picky about it).  Considering I paid $250 each for the two that I have, I would call that a bargain!  Also, for those looking to pick up some great PSP games on the cheap, Sony has announced some new titles for its Greatest Hits line and Favorites line (basically they have sold so well that they can afford to sell them at a cheaper price).  The price changes go into effect on February 27, 2011 (this Sunday).  Below is a list of all the games that will be deemed Greatest Hits and Favorites.  Too see the full announcement by Sony, head to the Playstation Blog.
