If it wasn’t bad enough that the Nintendo 3DS can’t be played by kids 6 and younger or the fact that you shouldn’t play it for more than 30 minutes at a time, now a new drawback has surfaced that says you must stay still or you will lose the 3D view on the 3DS.

According to Andriasang, the Kid Icarus game designer Masahiro Sakurai has stated that you apparently need very steady hands to operate Nintendo’s upcoming 3DS handheld.  Due to the way that the 3DS does glasses-free 3D, any movement will cause you to lose 3D visuals.  Considering the technology is still pretty new, I can understand the problem especially for this generation of gaming systems but I think this means it is pretty safe to say that button mashing games on the 3DS is probably not a good idea.  Perhaps the best solution would be to have some kind of stand for using with the handheld like the ones you see in big box stores that keep you from running out of the stores with the system although that would defeat the purpose of the system being portable.

With all of these drawbacks that keep coming out about Nintendo’s upcoming 3DS, do you plan to purchase one?
