Apple gets trademark for “There’s an App for That”

Apple has been using the catchphrase “There’s an App for That” since January 26, 2009 and they have now been granted a trademark on the phrase.  They filed for the trademark on the phrase back in December 2009.

The phrase has been used to say that you can do pretty much anything with an iOS powered device such as the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.

The “There’s an App for That” trademark applies to “retail store services featuring computer software provided via the Internet and other computer and electronic communication networks; retail store services featuring computer software for use on handheld mobile digital electronic devices and other consumer electronics.”

I wonder if they used an app to file for the trademark?
